I am very glad to have found Dr. Alam as a learning of Urdu. I had been struggling with my reading skills in Urdu for some time. I appreciate Dr. Alam's systematic approach to teaching both Nastaliq and Naskh. He has been very thorough in addressing both reading and handwriting skills. Dr. Alam is very knowledgeable regarding both Hindi and Urdu and with his help, I am learning to more effectively tailor my word choices depending on the audience. He is invested in creating individualized learning experiences for his students and strives to make lessons interesting and fun. He works hard to include information about culture in lessons as well. Dr. Alam has an excellent knowledge of language pedagogy, is very consistent, and goes above and beyond to help students.
