Intermediate Urdu

Focus on fluency as well as enhancement of Urdu grammar and sentence structure.

This course is suitable for students looking to enhance their basic foundation in Urdu reading, counting, and conversation, and work towards greater fluency and command.  Students will cover more complex grammatical constructions and diversify their vocabulary.

Course duration: Open-ended

Depends on the students’ learning capability, styles and requirements. The invoice will be on monthly basis.

This course will cover

• Free conversation based on a given topic with a focus on correct pronunciation and pauses.
• Advanced grammar and structure through DALC’s self-designed and developed course materials.
• Enhancing reading ability using online content, comics/storybooks, newspapers, handouts, etc.
• Advance uses of words and phrases, colloquial and idiomatic expressions
• Watching and listening to Bollywood and Pakistani Urdu movies and songs, TV Serials, Documentaries, and other programs
• Etymological vocabulary enrichment focuses on synonyms and antonyms and different meanings of words in a different contexts
• Enriching all components of numerical ability through statistical data and reports
• Lots of intensive dialogue and comprehension practices
• Socio-cultural explanation of the words, phrases, proverbs, and idioms
• Outdoor classes (Depends on students’ desire and feasibility)

This course does not cover

• Serious political debate and discussion
• Reading or writing professional literary works/contents

After completion of this course, you will be able to

Understand the complete Urdu sentence structure, you shall be able to share your ideas and views on various topics with better confidence and accuracy, you may ask or respond to all the required information from different agencies and offices, and you may find it comfortable to ask/tell the direction, address, order, and request, quote time and distance, shopping and bargaining,

Overall this course will make you able to interact with native speakers with spontaneity and fluency, express your thoughts and opinions on any topic of interest to you as well as read all contents, newspapers, and storybooks. You may find comfortable working with complex statistical data and reports
